CHIEF OF POLICE

Paul Castimore currently serves as the Chief of Police. The Chief of Police, as a department head, is directly accountable to Mayor Eric Wilsusen, who serves as the Director of Public Safety. 

Responsibilities

The Police Chief’s responsibilities encompass the whole of the police function, from delegation of authority and assignments, to serving as the final authority in disciplinary matters, budgeting and departmental policy. The officers under his command derive their police powers from his legislative authority.

POLICE CHIEF’S ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT

Shelley Ebbinghouser currently serves as the Police Chief’s Administrative Assistant and assists the Police Chief in all areas including, but not limited to, budgeting, accounts payable/accounts receivable, billing for police services, maintenance of police personnel, training and worker’s compensation records, transcribing, taking minutes, and other administrative and non-sworn office/administrative duties as assigned or required.
