Museum Open Houses

The Jefferson Township Museum "The George Chamberlain House" and "Miss Elizabeth's Shoppe" will be open for tours on the first Sunday of each month from April to October 1PM - 4PM in 2023:

  • December 2&3 Museum Christmas weekend

Period dressed docents and guides will be available to help visitors through the exhibit. Miss Elizabeth’s Garden is labeled for self-guided tours. Miss Elizabeth’s Shoppe in the original kitchen will also be open during these hours to offer vintage and new items for sale. 

The Museum is located on 315 Dover-Milton Road in the Historic Milton Village section of Jefferson Township.

“Something Borrowed, Something Blue”

The Jefferson Museum proudly presents “Something borrowed, something blue” as its 2023 season exhibition. Vintage and antique wedding gowns, accessories and memorabilia will be on display. Gowns from the late Victorian Era to post WW11 will be showcased throughout the rooms. Long gloves, wedding books and other items be on display. Wartime weddings will be an additional feature of this exhibition as many marriages took place during times of conflict. Military garb and artifacts will enhance this portion of the exhibit. The Museum is open to the public the first Sunday of each month from April -October with this focused exhibition.
